Bar Refaeli’s obvious ambition has generally been matched by her desire to try other things, and her desire to be known for more than her modeling prowess certainly sets her apart from her fashion-industry brethren. Though she landed plenty of high-profile gigs in 2008 -- including a stint for P. Diddy’s new cologne “I Am King”-- Bar Refaeli was also featured in the '09 SI Swimsuit Issue. She even managed to branch out in unusual yet respectable directions. In addition to appearing in a campaign designed to reduce the use of plastic bags in Israel (in which she worked for free), Bar Refaeli also made her cinematic debut by taking on a starring role in an upcoming 2009 thriller entitled Session.
